Ronald Reagan campaigned and won the White House on a small government and lower taxes argument. Today, the far right wing of the republican party has one message, we hate Obama.
It's as if every African American that causes any right wing republican any problems, it's the fault of the African American President. Newt Gingrich as figured out that if he stands on a stage, filled with right wing republicans and calls Obama a few names, "food stamp President, European socialist" and some other choice sub-textual comments, that's all he needs to get back to Washington D.C.
The fact is as of 2011, there are more white Americans on food stamps then African Americans, and President Bush had 14.7 million people on food stamps and Obama has 14.2 million people receiving food stamps.
If your a political junkie, like myself, your familiar with what is called "red meat" in the political battle arena. It's like standing on the side lines at a ball game and being the guy or girl who is willing to say the most brutal comment to the empire weather it's true or not. When you throw red meat the crowd will love you for it and probably buy you a beer.
