Today America remembers it's fallen hero's that lost their lives in what has been considered a act of war against this country. Ten years ago today, this country came together to seek and distroy the person or persons that cause that great lost of American lives. It was a somber moment when President Bush and President Clinton spoke in Shankville, Pa, As the words rang true in the ears of anyone that was listening, the eyes teared from the realization of what took place. It's the armed service people that deployed still, everyday to a land on the other side of the world, far from the safe and secured homeland they know so well, to fight the good fight and pay that dept, the dept and promise that our country can not and will not tolerate an attack on our citizens in their offices and in there homes. Who died that historic day, Americans, all kinds of Americans, black, white, brown, yellow, there was no seperation when the lost was tallied, everyone that was near those towers and the pentagon died or was injured. We seem to come together when the threat comes to our door steps, we seem to come together when it's time to seek out the criminals that caused this great tragady. 9/11 will always be the symbol of a united front, a symbol of one nation, under God. As i sat and listen to the names being recorded into history that are on the new memorial in New York City, it dawn on me, there was no distinctions, there was no seperation of the people, everybody, that was there died, together. Our people will come together to help each other in there hour of need, make no mistake about it, the forces of good live everyday in the hearts of the people of this country, they were there today in the City of New York and the town of Shankville and in the back drop of the pentagon, they were there, if you sought brotherhood all you had to do was reach out your hand and someone would grab it, someone you never seen in your life, someone you don't know, someone that feels what you feel, someone that knows what the lost of a love one feels like, someone that doesn't look like you. My son was in the armed services during the time the country came under attack, I didn't know where he was at that moment in time, when the towers fell, when we were under attack, all i knew was he was wearing a uniform willing to fight for this country. His grandfather fought in WWII and when my son decided to sign his name on the dotted line there was some dout from me about the reasons why, i must admit, but i remember what he said, he said dad it's the right thing to do, and he was right. My father, years ago would sit in front of the t.v. and watch the war in Vietnam and look at me and say, your signing up young man, as soon as your old enough your going, i didn't want to go, and i didn't understand why he would say something like that, kids were dying everyday over there, but my dad had no douts in his mind, his boys were going to fight for this country, what I didn't understand then, i know and understand today, there is no greater honor then to put that uniform on and fight for this country, for the rights that we take for granted, the right to speak our minds, the right to work and save for a better way of life for our children, the right to vote, to live love and to die in freedom, eveything that is lost in the day to day activities of what takes place in our political system. When I look at C-Span and listen to the efforts to seperate a people, to take away the very rights that out country stands and fights for, to remove the brotherhood that lives in the hearts and minds of the American, to take away the right to vote, the right to be represented, the right to work. Yes, when it's time to die, we stand and fall together, what we have a problem with, is living together.
