American Jobs Act

I've waited for weeks, no for months, for President Obama to take the bully pulpit and talk to the American people and let the country and the members of congress know that he is a long way from giving up on providing leadership for this country. It was a full and complete plan he laid out, fully paid for and with several ideas that the republican party has already discussed in their own committee meetings. Tax cuts for corporations that hire returning members of our arm services. Tax cuts for working class people who have been attack by the right with their attempts to remove the rights of the unions of this country. It's a choice for the republicans, stand fast with the Grover Norquest pledge or stand with the working middle class people. No President as targeted the rights of the middle class the way this President has in this countries history. The bill has restoration funds for the roads and bridges, which adds construction jobs, lowering the taxes on the middle class right away, which puts money directly in your pocket, $1.500, it's a complete and fair plan. The klatch of republicans sitting in the front row, Paul Ryan and the rest of the stone faces tried to laugh at one point but when Obama made the statement that his intentions are to take this plan to every corner of this country, starting in Virgina, Eric Cantors home state, and Ohio, John Boehners home state, it was no longer a laughing matter. People are sick and tired of the politricks that the right wing republican party has been playing, the focus of the right is to remove President Obama at all cost, even if it means driving the economy into the dirt, but the American people were paying close attention and if the right chooses to stall and hold up this bill in committee meetings, well the voters will find congress personal that will address their needs come next November. John Boehner tried to sound cooperative but we'll see if the tea party still has a foot on his neck real soon. It's good to see President Obama fired up and full of energy about a issue, make no error in judging his strength. This President fights with his intellect not his fist or with silly name calling, he knows that's not the example he wants to set. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. It's up to the American people now, calling those yahoo's and telling them if they can't help, get out the way and let someone in there that's willing to work with this President. The 450 billion dollar plan shouldn't be a problem, if you reform medicaid and medicare the way the president wants to, and cut the pork out of the defence department, theirs more then enough money to make this jobs recovery act work. My mind of minds is still telling me that the republicans will find a reason to hold this effort up because we all know if they hand him this victory, they hand him the White House on a silver platter, not that President Obama won't be re-elected anyway, the republicans just don't want to go on record with helping him along the way.
