Stop Hustling Controversy For Profit

Because of the illusionary decline of support for President Obama within the Congressional Black Caucus, there has been an attempt by the right, to inject race related controversy into every aspect of the political arena. The New York Times, a republican publication, decided to transcribe the Presidents speech that he gave last night, at the 41st Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference, in a manner that is indicative of a President that speaks a separate and exclusionary dialect of the English language that is only for the African Americans in this country. This on going effort by the right wing media, to try and separate the two major races in this country, is a political battle tool that the right should think deeply about before using. There is no gain for the angry white right in this attempt to revitalize the raw and sensitive race related issues that we all know are buried in this countries history. The speech was designed to address the concerns of the caucus. The speech was designed for the people who face a devastating economy in the districts they represent. Much of the rhetoric that comes from the republican base, is deeply saturated with race simply to keep the uneducated tea party people on the streets with those signs that we all are very familiar with. The rise of the angry white right that protested in Washington D.C., that carried around signs that said we want our country back, as if the country went somewhere, and signs of Obama dressed in African war lord gear, as if the White house was being occupied by someone that cooks his meal on a open fire in the middle of the west wing floor. This is the results of what happens when a sad and uneducated group of people, who are racist to start with, believe all the twisted information that is constantly broadcasted by the people in the positions of power. Last week I sat with a friend and researched several hours of tape of the protest that took place supporting Glenn Becks, restore America. The people that walked up and down those streets, most of them, not all, are very sick people who need medical attention. I went to high school during the force busing of the 1970s in Boston. I've seen people like that before in my life. I know what can happen, trust me it's not pretty. It's always good to talk about the differences that need to be address regarding the race problems we have in this country. Blood in the streets isn't what the angry white right wants,.. trust me!.
