If you were pulled over by the local police and they found something unlawful in that car, telling them that just because your name was on the title and registration of that car doesn't make you responsible for what they found, well that will not exempt you from the criminal prosecution you are definitely going to face in the local Court House. If you go on vacation leaving your best friend in charge of your house and your friend decides to have a outrages party at your place, when you return, the responsibility falls directly on you as the owner of that property. Here's my point, if you decide to sign your name to a document claiming ownership, be it for tax purposes, for profit, for show, whatever the reason, you! are responsible for that property, or in Mitt's case, the business and activities at Bain.
You can't claim you created 100,000 jobs at a company over a certain time frame and then decide you weren't there because of bad news coming over in the same time frame.
Mitt Romney is going to have to release more then two years of his tax returns if he expects to quite the noise over this issue, I've seen blood in the water before dealing with political issues and the sharks are circling him as he sits and smiles as if everything is Okay.
Personally I think he should just come clean and own up to whatever activity took place and put it to rest, it's still early and there's a good chance the voting public will forgive and forget.
I'm sure the Obama Administration has plenty more ammunition regarding his role at Bain so the quicker he puts this monster down the quicker the next shoe can drop and we'll have some more fun watching Mitt squirm.
Mitt Romney blasted Newt in the primary races with negative ads like no tomorrow, now he's crying about Obama beating him over the head with the same club he used. What's that Mitt said?, what's good for the goose is good for the gander?, or something like that.
Between the Swiss bank accounts, stashing money in the Cayman's, the last time I checked criminals stashed their money in places where the government can't find it because they earned it illegally, I'm not suggesting Mitt is a criminal but if your running for the White House, you better be prepared to pony up those IRS forms.
