I've tried my best to find something positive to say about republican canidate for president, Slick Rick Perry, Governor from Texas, I've got friends in Texas, and they've been in that state for over 15 years. Like my self, they're from Boston and they have informed me about the poltical atmosphere in Texas, and the reports are not good, not good at all, so why you might ask do people go and live in Texas?, well thats easy, for a stimulus funded state government or oil industy related job, thats right stimulus money, flowing freely in the state of Texas,straight out of the Obama white house, as a matter of fact, Slick Rick balanced his books with that money and was relected on a balanced budget message, thanks to Obama.There is a down side to this situation, if you have no training, and your trying to get started on your own, with no family, well your in trouble my friend, because Slick Rick isn't going to provide any training by way of the state, such as state funded community colleges, or any state funded training programs to help you get rooted, no, you have to bring that your self from another state. Texas has 550,000 minimum wage jobs! you know no health coverage, less then 40 hours a week, that way your a part time employee with no benefits, 25% of the children in that state with no health care coverage, you would think a state with all that oil industry money would break bread and help out the children with no health care, what about Slick Ricks views on the 16th and the 17th amendments, Oh! you don't know, well you better look into that, Slick Rick wants to repeal them he's got no use for that foolishness ask him he'll tell you,and lets not forget his comments about social security, he thinks it's all one big con job or as he put it a "ponzi scheme"and if you disagree with Slick Rick, there is a good chance he'll pull out that big gun he carries around with him, the comments he made recently while in Iowa, about Ben Bernanke, hinting that something could, and most likely would happen to him because he's printing money for political reasons, was flat out stupit, as if the fed is aiding the president, considering the fed chair is a hold over from the Bush Admin, that doesn't fly to well with me. Slick Rick hit the ground running this week, hillbilly politics and all, with a cup of tea, thats all we need in Washington D.C. another yahoo, simple minded, good old boy who thinks it's o.k. to threaten the chairman of the federal reserve. You know, when I think about it, I've met people like Slick Rick before, back when I was in high school, during the 70s forced busing in my home town, guns and threats, from the white people that couldn't deal with their kids going to school with black kids, it wasn't the kids, it was the parents, us kids in the first year, because we didn't know each other, got into a few fights,because white and black kids were both scared of the unknown, once we figured out that we all could go home and watch t.v. or do what we wanted, and get credit for being in school if a major fight broke out, well the stage game was on, we would meet in the basement bathroom select a time and place to STAGE! a fight, the boston police would show up in a matter moments, mostly because they were already in the school, we would yell a few names at each other and wala!, they would send us home with credit for the day, heck sometimes I'd be back home before my mother went to work. So whats the point? if you remove the Slick Rick types from both sides of this situation, the people that are left will find away to work it out.
