If your child is using drugs and you want to address the problem, do you give his sister or brother more drugs?
If your child is stealing from the local mall, do you encourage his sister or brother to steal from the mall?
Why is it when it comes to guns the solution by some is more guns, it doesn't add up.
The 2nd Amendment was designed to (1) provide protection for your family, (2) provide meat for your family, going hunting, and (3) to assure the U.S. Citizen he or she has a way of keeping the U.S. Government from forcing it's will on the masses.
Let me address number (3) the U.S. Government has been forcing it's will on a culture of people for 400 years, the African American has been subjected to "tyranny" since their arrival, the last time I checked, I don't remember having a pistol or an assault weapon helping them out at all. So let's put that myth aside.
If the U.S. Government want to invade your home or your private property for whatever reason, trust me there isn't enough people willing to die to prolong the outcome, remember Ruby Ridge?
My point is simple, this idea that you and a few of your friends will put up a good fight against the U.S. Government from the woods, or the mountains, or the city, is idiotic. Anyone walking around this country thinking otherwise needs medical attention.
Number (2) Hunting is still allowed and the deer and rabbits and all the other wild life in this country will tell you if they could, humans have the right weapons, just ask the Buffalo, so that's not a good argument.
Now!, if you want to prepare for the race war or, as one woman I spoke to the other day put it, " keep the demons in hell" you might think you need some high powered weapons. If the race war does start, all the black men with white woman will be undecided and all the white men with black children will be kinda confused, I'm not to worried about the race war, the last time I check, the number of bi-racial people like myself is growing at record numbers.
So that leaves number (1) protection for your family, now, if you happen to live in the great state of Florida, you and (R) Gov. Rick Scott have that covered, you can kill a kid for playing loud music in his car and call it self defense, yeah! good idea, weak gun laws to so-call protect yourself that allow you to kill innocent people.
There is a culture in this country consisting of whites & blacks that use a gun as a tool just as a carpenter uses a hammer and a nail to get their job done, they use the gun to force their will on others, they use the gun to earn a living, they use the gun the way a accountant uses a calculator. As long as Joe or Bob is willing to buy the gun from a legal gun dealer and claim it was stolen! when he re-sold it to frank or Sal, Jim and Tyrone will have access to a weapon. I went to a gun show in Georgia a few years back, you can buy anything you want as long as you have the money, no problem. They could care less what your intention are.
I knew a guy that used a gun as a tool, he felt naked if he didn't have it on him 24 hrs a day. he would pull it out and stick it in someones mouth, load the chamber and then discuss the issues, he never received a no, it's hard to talk with the barrel of a gun jammed in your mouth.
So the moral to this Op-ed is simple, more rain produces more flooding, more snow produces, well more snow. More guns produce more death.
